Diocese of Belthangady Announces Clergy Transfers and Appointments for February 2026

BELTHANGADY, February 27: The Curia of the Diocese of Belthangady has officially released the list of transfers and new appointments for the clergy, effective from March 1, 2026. The announcement, signed by Chancellor Fr. Lawrence Poonolil, outlines significant leadership transitions across various parishes and diocesan institutions.

A Heartfelt Tribute to Dedicated Service

The Diocese takes this opportunity to express profound gratitude and appreciation for the long-standing and exemplary service of three distinguished priests who have been instrumental in the growth of our Eparchy:

  • Very Rev. Fr. Joseph Valiaparambil: Specially thanked for his 18 years of dedicated service as the Vicar General of the Diocese.
  • Very Rev. Fr. Patteril Abraham: Commended for his 17 years of committed service as the Procurator of the Diocese.
  • Very Rev. Fr. Joseph Mattam: Honored for his 12 years of impactful service as the Pastoral Centre Director.
